The record brings together two established voices from East and West Africa, with Harmonize’s Bongo Flava style meeting Mayorkun’s polished Afropop sound. Their collaboration delivers a melodic and upbeat record built around smooth vocals, infectious rhythms and contemporary African production.
On “Bumpy Ride,” both artists explore themes of romance, attraction and enjoying a connection with someone special. Harmonize leads the record with his distinctive vocal style, while Mayorkun adds his familiar melodic touch, creating a natural balance between Tanzanian and Nigerian pop sounds.
The song forms part of the diverse tracklist on “31,” which features collaborations with artists including Wande Coal, Marioo, Ya Levis, Rayvanny, Sofiya Nzau, Jay Melody, Qing Madi, Stonebwoy, Darkoo, Yemi Alade and Mohamed Ramadan.
