How President Buhari Plans To Use 2022 Budget To Scam Nigerians – Dino Melaye Reveals

The public authority of President Muhammadu Buhari has been blamed for swindling the Nigerian public with the 2022 financial plan. The claim was made by an ex-senator, Dino Melaye.

President Muhammadu Buhari had introduced a financial budget proposition of N16.39 trillion for the year 2022 to the Joint Session of the National Assembly in October.

Talking during a public interview in Abuja on Thursday, Melaye guaranteed that the financial budget was loaded with counterfeit things running into billions of naira.

Melaye asserted the 2022 spending plan was loaded with defilement, asking why the FIRS financial plan would be more than the National Assembly and the legal executive.

He said the FIRS spending plan remained at N228 billion while the National Assembly financial plan was fixed at N134 billion and N120 billion was proposed for the legal executive.

He said,

“In the FIRS 2022 spending plan proposition, the assessment body reserved N2.5bn for the acquisition of land, N3bn for office furniture, N1.5bn for copying machines, N2.04bn for PCs and N500m for the development of sports offices. The office put away N1bn for generator fuel and N250m for upkeep while a different N550m was saved for buying more generators.

“How in the world can the FIRS spending plan amount of N2.8bn for “garbs and apparel” for the year 2022 and in safeguard, the FIRS Chairman through his Special Assistant on Media and Communication, Johannes Wojuola, had the guts to say that “uniform” is the corporate outfit (dressing recompense) to be appreciated by all the staff… ”

“Is it the Presidency? The Presidency proposed spending plan for 2022 stands at N150.5bn and the amount of 24.8bn was planned for the President. It was planned that the President will spend the amount of N775.6m for his nearby travel and transport while the amount of N1.5bn will be spent on global travel and transport (No big surprise Mr. President is going here and there).

“The 2022 financial plan of the Vice President remains at N1.1bn. The Vice President is to spend the amount of 301.9m for his neighborhood travel and transport while the amount of N476.2m will be spent on worldwide travel and transport. N6.3m will be spent on office writing supplies/PC consumables, the amount of N4.6m will be spent on printing non-security archives.

“The Vice President food item/catering material supplies remain at N156.6m. Various is N99.7m, Refreshment and Meals is reserved 20.2m while Honorarium and sitting remittance is N30.2m. The Vice President is to burn through N18.8m on exposure and promotion, N23.2m on government assistance bundles, and N5.4m on brandishing exercises.”
